Adobe Acrobat Chance The Rapper

Scoring Adobe’s New Spot starring Chance the Rapper

I had the pleasure of composing music for Adobe Acrobat’s latest spot starring none other than Chance the Rapper and directed by the hilarious Tim Wilkime.

From the start, the creative ask was clear: don’t make it too clean. Don’t over-polish. Lean into the chaos.

The spot thrives on Chance’s comedic rhythm, so my job was to craft a sonic bed that amplified the timing of every punchline. That meant throwing out the rulebook layering cheap vintage Casio keyboards with a lion’s roar and a classic record scratch. The trick wasn’t making it sound good… it was making it sound right. Sloppy, strange, and surgically timed.

Sometimes imperfection is the perfect score.

Massive thanks to Tim, Ruckus Films, Benjamin Canfly, Pam Robison, and the entire team who brought this to life. Always an honor to inject the Art School Rebellion ethos into these kinds of bold, playful projects.

(Also, yes — Chance’s new album goes crazy 🔥)
